African Process & Performance Institute (APPI) is a premier United States 501(c)(3) Non Profit Corporation with focus on operational leadership and process management excellence training and advisory services across the Africa continent. Our operational base is in Nairobi, Kenya.

At APPI, we understand that Africa prosperity depends on the continent’s global competitiveness. But increasing Africa global competitiveness is dependent on boosting the competitiveness of businesses, organizations, entrepreneurs, and public institutions across the continent.
However, without adequate Operational Leadership and Process Management Excellence skillsets and capacity building, the vast majority of the budgets, investments, and funding will continue to basically finance the inefficient operational practices that result in persistently low productivity levels and stagnant Africa global competitiveness.
During our IBM consulting work and engagements across the continent, we observed Leaders and Executives laments that their capacity to build the operational leadership and process management skillsets and competency is limited. The cost of hiring external consultants is prohibitive. Sustainability and ongoing support disappears as soon as the external consultants leave.
Listening to the voices of the leaders and executives across the continent, it was obvious that the vicious cycle will continue if urgent action is not taken. Thus, APPI was founded to address the three challenges of capacity, cost, and sustainability in building the critical skillsets and competency necessary to boosting Africa global competitiveness’ and prosperity. APPI Leadership and Consultants are globally experienced, tested, proven and committed. Long story short, getting APPI is like getting IBM in a small box.
